Virat Kohli Steven smith Runout IPL 9 2016 Vs RPS

Watson was the pick of the bowlers and it were his overs, particularly the penultimate one that sealed the game for Bangalore as Pune were making a big fightback. Debutant Shamsi did a good job too while Richardson got some cheap wickets at the end to help himself to a 3-fer. Overall, Bangalore held their nerves when it mattered to seal the win. They are the only team to win matches batting first this season and they have done it twice now. Earlier in the evening, AB and Kohli fired Bangalore to a mammoth total that eventually proved to be enough on a slightly sluggish track.
That completes a rather comfortable win for Bangalore, although Perera and Bhatia did give them a scare in the end overs. Chasing a mammoth 186 to win, Pune had the most disastrous of starts to their innings, losing Faf early while Pietersen retired hurt. Smith ran himself out and the innings was in all kinds of problems. Rahane and Dhoni stitched a 91-run stand to repair the damage but the latter struggled to get the big hits going. It was Rahane who mostly found the fence but he departed on 60 in pursuit of quick runs. Dhoni too holed out and it looked like a huge win for Bangalore at that stage. Perera and Bhatia then tore into the Bangalore attack but just couldn't finish it off.

2.3 H Patel to S Smith
W OUT! Brilliant from Kohli! Good length around off, Smith goes across to flick but off the pads towards short point. Loud lbw appeal but is turned down. Smith was down the crease in instinct Kohli swoops in on the ball to fire a direct hit at the striker's end. It's getting from bad to worse for Pune
