 Bowlers came to the fore and delivered. Mustafizur was brilliant with the new ball while Mashrafe's plan of bowling Shakib early clicked. Rubel too came to the party and Mahmudullah also added one wicket to his credit. Chasing a similar target, they backed themselves to replicate it once again but this time, they did it in some fashion with a pounding 9-wicket win. The openers blazed away and in no time were within sniffing range of sweet victory. Both Tamim and Sarkar went onto scores fifties. Sarkar missed out on his ton as he perished on 90. With this victory, this will be their fourth consecutive ODI series win at home for the Bangla Tigers.

Mashrafe Mortaza - It was difficult after losing the first match to come back. It was brilliant how the boys played. You do not get enough time to think about the mistakes but the boys did well. The way Soumya was batting, Shakib was brilliant and Mustafizur day by day is becoming a good bowler. Tamim too was brilliant. Boys will get some confidence and we want to deliver this in the Test series as well. Thanks to the crowd, keep supporting us and hopefully we will keep doing better.

Hashim Amla - Very disappointing indeed but credit to Bangladesh. They played really well. We haven't played good cricket of late. I think we have a good idea of what the wickets are going to be at Chittagong. Test cricket is a different ball game and we want to regroup and come back.

Soumya Sarkar has been adjudged the Man of the Match for his brilliant ninety runs. This is his second consecutive Man of the Match award. He is the Man of the Series as well.
