England v Australia T20 2015 Highlights

 England v Australia T20 2015 Highlights

After the start England got, they have done exceptionally well to bounce back and get this competitive score. They were 22 off the first 5 overs with both their openers back in the hut by then. Skipper, Eoin Morgan and all-rounder Moeen Ali added 135 runs for the third wicket. That was the highlight of the English innings. At one stage they looked like crossing the 200-run mark but the Australian duo of Cummins and Starc bowled nicely towards the end of the innings and restricted England to 182. Cummins got a couple of wickets, but rest of them, Watson, Boyce and Stoinis were punished.

The Australian openers failed and so did the lower middle order. Credit goes to the seamers, especially Willey and Stokes who bowled a brilliant penultimate and ultimate over respectively. In the last over, Australia lost as many as three wickets.

What a heart break for Australia! It was looking a perfect run chase just when Smith and Maxwell were batting together. They had a brilliant partnership for the third wicket but Maxwell threw his wicket away and that was the turning point. Smith played exceptionally well for his 90 but he failed to get his team over the line.

{ Ashes 2015 Live } Stuart Broad Takes 8-15, completed 300 Test Wickets

{ Ashes 2015 Live } Stuart Broad Takes 8-15, completed 300 Test Wickets

Everything has gone in the hosts' favour, right from the toss till the 18.3 overs. Put in to bat, Aussies started miserably. Both the openers were dismissed for a duck and so was Shaun Marsh. Michael Clarke came down the order but even he couldn't do much, he had no answers to the brilliance of Broad who bowled a long spell and picked up 8 of the Aussie scalps. The top scorer of the innings were the extras, 14 of them. Johnson got the second top score, with 13 runs to his name. A shambolic performance by the Australians, this one. Their bowlers need to fire and do the same with the ball, just like the English bowlers

Tillakaratne Dilshan became the 11th player to score 10000 ODI runs

Till the last update we have got Australia have taken three of the English wickets in that session while the hosts have managed to get a lead of 39 runs. All the wickets were taken by Mitchell Starc. Cook was looking good but he was dismissed by a beauty from Starc just before tea. Root is unbeaten on 33 and he is the key to England's second innings total. If he hangs in there, England will be able to get a substantial lead.

Zimbabwe vs New Zealand, 1st ODI Highlights - Aug 02, 2015

Zimbabwe vs New Zealand, 1st ODI  Highlights - Aug 02, 2015

Chigumbura's dismissal made the Kiwis strong favourites to seal the game but the 18-run over in the 48th by Henry sealed the game.
Masakadza and Chibhabha provided the perfect platform with a 74-run opening stand. But just when the latter got going he was dismissed. Masakadza and Ervine then staged a 120-run stand and when Masakadza was dismissed, with 110 needed from 90 balls, it looked like Zimbabwe were favourites. But Chigumbura's decision to promote himself up the order went against the hosts as they started to fall back on the required run-rate.
Questions were asked today again with Chigumbura preferring to chase once more, having failed miserably against India. The old demons resurfaced, with the bowlers leaking more than 100 runs in the last 10 overs and allowing the Kiwis to cross the 300-mark. It seemed like yet again, Zimbabwe were going to go down. But it was not the case.
What a game. Craig Ervine is beside himself with joy. The crowd is dancing in the isles. Boy... Zimbabwe have played some wonderful cricket. Last evening, we saw Pakistan canter home to chase down 172 in a thrilling T20I against Sri Lanka. Today, it is Zimbabwe shocking the Kiwis. Chasing down 303 with an over to spare and just 3 wickets lost.

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan 1st T20 2015 Highlights | Shahid Afridi 22 Balls 45 Runs Highlights

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan 1st T20 2015 Highlights | Shahid Afridi 22 Balls 45 Runs Highlights

Pakistan finish their amazing tour to Sri Lanka on a high! They won the Test series 2-1, edged out Sri Lanka in the ODIs 3-2 and a 2-0 win in the T20Is today will act as the icing on the cake. They now jump up to the number 3 spot in the ICC T20 Rankings. Sri Lanka will be very disappointed with their overall performance recently.

However, in this match with a young side, they fought hard and will take a lot of positives. Shehan Jayasuriya looks like a real talent, both with the bat and ball. Also, Chamara Kapugedera is back in the reckoning and makes a good case for himself for a selection in all the formats.

What a cracking match! It went right down to the wire and it was Pakistan who snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Truly awesome! An entertaining chase, Pakistan were on the back foot after losing half their side in a quick time. But then Shahid Afridi smashed a 22-ball 45 to ignite hopes in the Pakistan camp. His wicket was a setback and Sri Lanka once again bounced back in the match. But in a matter of minutes, Anwar Ali hammered a 17-ball 46 to once again put Pakistan on top. Things became quite close in the end but Imad Wasim with that winning six sealed it for the visitors. Emotions running wild on the field and the Pakistani fans are going bonkers.
